Bay Area San Francisco Counseling and Therapy Services: About Bay Area Children First

HELP SUPPORT BACF ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18TH, 2:00 to 5:00 PM!

Held at Studio Rasa, 933 Parker St. at 8th, Berkeley. We look forward to hosting this health awareness event. It will be an afternoon for families and children to explore health and art activities together, while providing donations for BACF.

Class Schedule:

  • 2:15 PM Sage Blessing and Introductions
  • 2:30 PM Hula Class, Miss Rosie
  • 3:00 PM Pilates Class, Susan Stark
  • 3:30 PM Meditation Class, Maura Singer Williams, M.A.
  • 4:00 PM Raja Yoga Class, Hayley Parken, Niroga Institute

There will be a Science Table, hosted by Saul Griffith, Ph.D., a 2007 MacArthur Fellows receipient, and author of "HowToons," a 120 page graphic novel published in Oct. 2007. Dr. Griffith is a cofounder of HowToons LLC, which promotes a mischievous, informal science education through comic books.

An Arts and Crafts Table will be hosted by Jana Silverman, M.F.T.

Many thanks to Seamus Berkeley for opening his studio to our event (next to Studio Rasa). He is a nationally acclaimed portrait and fine artist. His paintings will be on display; 25% of art piece purchase totals, or portraits commissioned, will be donated to BACF. For more information and viewing samples of his work, please visit:
