1. Services to Families in the Court System:

A. Therapeutic Supervision of Family Visits:

Bay Area Children First (BACF) works with families in the unification process. We facilitate therapeutic supervision for families at the Department of Human Services and other settings.

These Services Include

· Assessment of the family's situation

· Treatment planning for the immediate and future needs the family

· Communication and collaboration with other service-providers and family members

· Facilitating positive connections between parent and child

· Coaching parents before and after visits

· Teaching parenting techniques and skills

· Providing safety for the child before, during, and after the visits

· Communication with the courts

B. Other Family In Court Services:

Bay Area Children First also provides various therapeutic and educational services for children and their families in the Family Court system. We have established relationships with several Bay Area county child welfare departments. Our services are provided by highly qualified post-Masters Marriage Family Therapist Interns.

Our Services to Family in Court System Include:

· Therapeutic supervision of family visits, both onsite at county facilities, and, where appropriate, offsite in natural settings

· Child and family therapy for county-referred cases

· Assessments and court reports for covered cases (by request)

· Court-mandated classes on Parenting, Anger Management, and Domestic Violence
